Pete’s Diary
By Angel Love (7th Grade)
Dear diary, this is Mr. Pete speaking. Today, on 10.5.2015, I was put outside with my brothers and sisters!! But they were avoiding me; I don’t know why. Then my mom said to me Why do you have no nose? She said it so sweetly, but then she began to laugh. Everyone burst into laughter, and I was so embarrassed that I rolled out to the corn maze and scared the mortals of this world.
Dear diary, this is Mr. Pete again- today is 10.30.15. I was marked the best pumpkin on the campus! But my days have begun to rot away! And just when I began to realize I was not a normal pumpkin, I was taken from the post I was on outside and removed from my home. So now I am a pumpkin with no nose, and no family- what do I do?
Dear diary, me again- oh, and guess what! I now have grandkids! I found my family after all these years! It’s now 10.31.2023- yes, it’s been a while since I have been around my loved ones, but I found myself a new family.
Dear diary- my heart is broken, my family has been destroyed by the mortals!! They have done a cruel prank, and I must have my revenge – I will avenge my family!!
Dear diary, today is the day- 10.31.23- I will wreak havoc – I have done it – now I can be with my family in heaven – until I am reborn. – Mr. Pete

Charlie Ryan and the Pumpkin
By Leena Campbell (Kindergarten)
Once upon a time, there was a pumpkin named Charlie who went to the park. When he got home, he wanted some candy corn, so he ate it, and then he had some ice cream. Charlie wanted to go down the slide again, so he went to the park and went down the slide – with the candy in his mouth! – Charlie went home and went to sleep.
