Flint City Bucks Star Oliver Moller-Jensen Named to USL League 2 Central Conference Team of the Year

Perhaps the biggest characteristic of the Flint City Bucks this season was how balanced their attack was. But someone had to score the goals, and more often than not, Oliver Moller-Jensen put himself into great position to get shots off at opposing keepers.

After scoring nine goals with seven assists to lead the Bucks to a fourth straight Great Lakes Division title, second straight Central Conference championship, and an appearance in the national final, Moller-Jensen was honored by USL League 2 with a spot on the Central Conference Team of the Year.

A season ago, the Bucks’ offense revolved around the dynamic talents of Donavan ‘Gusto’ Phillip. Phillip had a record-setting season with the Bucks, and Moller-Jensen’s tenacity and consistent presence in the lineup this season helped fill the void in the team’s offensive attack. He also performed his best in clutch moments, including a game-winning goal late in extra time to put the Bucks in the championship game.

Now, Moller-Jensen is preparing for his college season at the University of Indiana. It will be his first season with the Hoosiers after playing his three previous seasons for Florida Atlantic. In 45 career games with FAU, Moller-Jensen had eight goals and 10 assists.

He now moves on to a Hoosiers team that opens its season on August 20 and is ranked No. 22 in the country in the preseason rankings.

In an interview with Flint. Daily. earlier this season, Moller-Jensen discussed how playing for the Bucks was great preparation for joining a top program like Indiana.

“We (the Bucks) want to win, and we don’t wanna settle for anything less,” Moller-Jensen said. “This team has a lot of history that you have to live up to. You can’t rest here. You have to perform, and that’s what we all want. We want to perform at the highest level and, and prepare ourselves for college and the life after college, for the pro life.”

Moller-Jensen is looking forward to testing himself even more at Indiana, and also to matching up with and against some of his Bucks teammates who play at opposing Big 10 schools. Two Bucks teammates, Wes Carnevale, who transferred to Indiana this season after previously playing at Cornell, and Stephane Njike, who transferred from Maryland to Indiana, will continue playing alongside Moller-Jensen.

Michigan State has 2026 Bucks players Luke Spadafora, Richie Ludwig, and Ezra Horlings. Wisconsin’s roster includes Will Smith, Ellis Jones, Isaac Brown-Samper, and Judewellin Michel. Dominic Ayella is on Maryland’s team.

“Knowing that I’ve been going to Indiana this whole summer has just given me so much more energy and motivation,” Moller-Jensen said. “Indiana is a huge school with a lot of history as well, where the expectations are extremely high. I wanted to get myself in an environment where I can challenge myself and become better and better every single day because I wanna play pro. I feel like the best way to be a pro is to put yourself in an environment where you’re surrounded by people who want the same thing. And I feel like at Indiana and, and also here in Flint, that’s the thing that we strive on is that we all wanna get to that next level. And obviously playing with a lot of people from the Big 10 that I’m gonna face in the season is going to be fun. Obviously, I have a lot of friends here on the Bucks that I’m gonna be playing against, but to match myself against them, some of the best players in college, it will be amazing to compete with them every single day and I can’t wait to play them in the fall.”
