Warm-Up Flint Kickoff Party

Join us THIS SATURDAY, January 17, 2026 from Noon-4pm for our Warm Up Flint 2026 Kickoff Party at Whaley Historic House Museum of Flint, Michigan! As always, our goal for the year is to collect 1,000 handmade hats and scarves for those in need. 
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
• Work on your knit/crochet project in the company of other creatives!
• Bring handmade hat and scarf donations for Warm Up Flint (WUF). We’d love to collect 100 pieces total at the event to jumpstart our donations for 2026!
• Participate in a Warm Up Flint tag making activity. We have 1,000 tags to make for our hats and scarves. It’s a lot, but we can do it with your help!
• Take a tour of the Whaley Historic House Museum, the former home of a prominent Flint family restored its 1880s-1890s Gilded Age glory.
Everyone who donates a item to WUF 2026 and/or makes WUF tags will receive a FREE shirt from one of our generous sponsors, Thrivent. People who donated to WUF 2025 will also receive a FREE shirt if they haven’t already.
Open to the public. Free admission. Light refreshments. Please consider making a donation to support our host location, Whaley Historic House Museum.
