Sometimes parenting isn’t difficult because we don’t love our children…
It’s difficult because we’re surviving while trying to help them thrive.
Stress, trauma, financial pressures, unexpected life changes, and everyday responsibilities can keep families operating in survival mode—where reacting replaces connecting, exhaustion replaces joy, and simply making it through the day feels like an accomplishment.

Join Mothers of Joy Institute for Parenting and Family Wellness, Inc. and Flint ReCAST for an empowering Parenting Workshop designed to help parents understand what survival mode is, how it impacts the brain, emotions, and relationships, and practical strategies to move from surviving to healing.
