Scholars on Tap: Mott Community College Professor Michael Stogsdill Discussing “Open Sourcing Education”
Professor Michael Stogsdill of Mott Community College’s Physical Science Department will present “Open Sourcing Education” at the next Scholars on Tap event on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Queens’ Provisions, 421 Garland St., Flint.
Stogsdill’s presentation will explore how educators can use open source software and openly licensed educational resources to create accessible, high-quality learning materials. The talk will also highlight practical tips, free textbooks, web accessibility best practices, and other open source projects that support teaching and learning.
Scholars on Tap is a community lecture series hosted by the Flint QuadPod partnership, which includes Kettering University, Michigan State University, Mott Community College, and the University of Michigan-Flint. The free event offers an opportunity for the public to engage with local scholars in a casual setting.
