LAM: A Brand New Play at Flint Community Players
In this world, turning 26 isn’t a milestone. It’s a reckoning.
Welcome to Denton County, where life is grand thanks to The Council. The rules following “The Great Collapse of ’47” are simple, have a Council approved role in society by the age of 26, or die. A singer, a stranger, and a lamb set out across a dust-filled, retro-rodeo landscape to challenge the rules that are shaping their futures. With a haunting Country-Western sound, Lam blends post-apocalyptic drama with a coming-of-age reckoning about identity, freedom, and what happens when time runs out at 26.
Join us for the staged reading of this brand new play by Michigan playwright Abby Burgess.
Saturday January 10 @ 7:00 PM
Sunday January 11 @ 2:00 PM
Tickets are $10, and please join us after for a talkback with the playwrights. This is a great chance for you to give feedback on the scripts and help shape these brand new plays!
