Intro to Tinker CAD – 3D Design
Move from 3D printing other people’s designs to creating your own ideas. TinkerCAD is a simple, free cloud based 3D modeling CAD (computer aided design) platform which works on almost any device within a web browser. It performs the same function as expensive CAD software requiring robust computing power. In this class, you will learn the basics of designing in TinkerCAD. You will also learn to prepare your file for the 3D printer. You will leave this class with a file that will be ready to 3D print. You must sign up for (or already have completed) the separate Intro to 3D printing checkout class before creating a 3D print. You may bring your own laptop or a computer will be provided to you. No software installation is necessary, just create an TinkerCAD account.

*Basic computer skills are necessary for this class. We also encourage you to bring your own device, such as a laptop or tablet, if you have one to bring. If not, we do have computers available for use at no additional cost.*
