Hunters of Color Event
Do you have an interest in hunting, but aren’t sure where to start? Join us during the Hunters of Color event, where we will explore the outdoor and wildlife skills needed to become a hunter. During the event, participants will have the opportunity to learn from a diverse group of outdoor educators and experts through hands-on activities and demonstrations. Try your hand at archery, learn BB gun safety and marksmanship, and get up close with live animals while learning about local wildlife and conservation.
This event is open to everyone, and no prior experience is required. It’s a great chance to build confidence, learn new outdoor skills, while connecting with others who share an interest in nature and outdoor recreation. Expect live demonstrations, giveaways, vendors, food trucks, and more. Participants will also have the opportunity to sign up for a Hunter-Ed course and mentored hunting opportunity.
This event is hosted by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Genesee County Parks.
For all ages and abilities.
