Help Reclaim the Creek!

Volunteers are needed to pick up litter and to help move a chainlink fence. No need for waders this time. No one should have to get wet!
The fence is behind the old steakhouse property at the southeast corner of our neighborhood, near the corner of Court & Dort. A triangular section of Pierce Park was inexplicably and maybe illegally fenced off in earlier decades. Moving the fence to the actual property line will reclaim about .3 acre and include about 130 feet of Gilkey Creek on the south side of the creek. This will make cleanups and invasive species management easier.
All skill levels needed, from lifters to trash picker-uppers. If you have pliers, wire cutters and trash grabbers, please bring them (and label with your name). We’ll provide the wrenches, trash bags, cloth gloves, and a few trash grabbers. Thanks to Keep Genesee County Beautiful for supplies and for sponsoring lunch afterwards.
