Flint Juneteenth: Freedom Youth School Dinner

Purpose: Linking the Soweto Uprising of June 16, 1976, to the “Children’s Brigade” of the American Civil Rights Movement creates a profound global bridge. It reminds us that Juneteenth is not just a localized American date, but a part of a worldwide struggle for Black liberation.
