Flint Juneteenth: Celebration in the Village

Purpose: The introduction of Ubuntu, “I am because we are,” at the URC (Urban Renaissance Center) provides the perfect philosophical “anchor” for your Juneteenth celebration. This Southern African concept is the spiritual sibling to the Harambee spirit; while Harambee is the act of pulling together, Ubuntu is the reason why we do it.
