Family STEAM Clay Workshop Explores ‘From Earth to Art’
Families are invited to get hands-on with clay during a free STEAM workshop, Clay: From Earth to Art, on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Greater Flint Arts Council, 816 S. Saginaw St.
Led by experts from the Greater Flint Arts Council and Runyan Pottery Supply, the workshop will introduce participants to the science and technology behind clay production. Attendees will create their own clay pieces, learn how clay is made and used, and have their finished work fired after the session.
The family-friendly event is free, but space is limited to 20 participants. Pre-registration is required.
