FAFSA Workshop
January 12 @ 5:30 pm
The Genesee County Career and College Access Network (GCCCAN) is hosting a FAFSA Workshop on Monday, January 12, 2026 for high school seniors and their parents. College financial aid representatives will be available to assist families with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The workshop will be held at the Genesee Intermediate School District – Davis Education Center, 2413 West Maple Ave., Flint 48507, from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Please use Entrance 3. Parents should attend with their high school senior. Devices are available but please bring your own if possible.
Seniors and parents (who are completing the FAFSA for the first time) will need to each create their own account. Go to fafsa.gov and click on “Create Account” in the top right. Students should use a personal email address that they will have access to in the future. It would be best to create your account ahead of time if possible.
Why complete the FAFSA? The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the largest source of money for college and career training. Completing the FAFSA is the only way to access the Michigan Achievement Scholarship and the Community College Guarantee.
If you have any questions, please contact: Lisa Hook, Administrative Secretary, GISD at lhook@geneseeisd.org. Registration link.
