Crim Mott Miles Challenge
Join the Crim and Mott Community College on April 18th, 2026 for the third annual Mott Miles Challenge! In the allotted three-hour time window, participants can run or walk as many one-mile loops as they choose on a course closed to traffic. You can run or walk continuously between loops or take a break- it’s up to you! Each time the participant crosses the shared start/finish line, their loop will be recorded and they can choose to continue to run or walk additional loops. The start/finish area will also serve as “Party Central.” Participants can expect a well-stocked aid station, music, cheering spectators, and our announcer calling your name as you finish or embark on additional loops.
**While the course will be open for 3 hours from 9:00am-12:00pm, all runners and walkers must begin their first loop at 9:00am.**
Packet Pick-Up:
- Friday, April 17th 2:00pm-6:00pm at the Durham Wellness and Physical Education Center on the campus of Mott Community College
- Saturday, April 18th 7:00am-8:45am at the Durham Wellness and Physical Education Center on the campus of Mott Community College
Race Day Parking:
- Parking is available in the H Parking Ramp. Southbound Horrigan Ave will be closed near Robert T Longway Blvd. Please plan on accessing this ramp via Horrigan from Court Street. The easiest way to access the Durham and the Start/Finish Line from the H ramp is via the top level. Follow the Crim event signs. Please do not enter Mott’s Campus via Court and Gorman or park in Lot A as that is reserved for Mott Students and Faculty. Please make sure that you arrive early for parking!
Restrooms:
- Restrooms will be available in the Durham Wellness and Physical Education Center and the Ballenger Field House.
Awards will be given, male and female, for the fastest mile loop, fastest to cover 3, 5, and 10 miles, most loops completed, and a large prize will be awarded to any person who can complete the “Mott Marathon” in under three hours – 26 laps on the campus course.
Award Rules:
- Fastest mile loop can be completed anytime during the 3 hours.
- To be eligible for the fastest TO REACH 3 miles, 5 miles or 10 miles awards, the loops must be done consecutively – the award is given to the first individual to cover the distance.
- All awards are given male and female, runner AND walker- However, each participant is only eligible to win one of the goal mileage awards (3, 5, or 10 miles). For instance a participant could win “fastest to 3 miles” but not also “fastest to 5 miles”. The participant CAN also win “fastest” or “most loops” in conjunction with one of the above listed awards. This rule exists solely to keep one participant from potentially winning every award!
Kids are welcome to register and run or walk with their families (12 and under please run or walk with parent or guardian.) When registering your child, please ensure to select “registering someone else” when completing the registration form.
All participants receive a long sleeved tech shirt and a 4″ finisher medal.
