Civic Matters: Winterizing Your Home
Drop in anytime 1–4 p.m. As colder weather arrives and we prepare to close up Applewood for the season, it’s a good time to think about getting our homes ready for winter. Whether you live in a historic house or a modern apartment, taking steps to protect your space from wintery weather helps maintain its condition for years to come. A well-cared-for home not only keeps you comfortable through the cold months, but also helps preserve the character and strength of our neighborhoods.
The enduring legacy of Charles Stewart and Ruth Mott is their extraordinary commitment to civic participation. From preserving our history to volunteering in community, we’ll demonstrate ways that anyone can engage in civic life. This year’s topics are focused on historic preservation and getting involved in the community where you live.
Drop in to Civic Matters anytime from 1–4 p.m. on the third Friday of each month May through October. Admission and activities at Applewood are always free!
