Civic Matters: Flint Sit-Down Strike

In partnership with the Sloan Museum of Discovery, visitors can explore copies of primary sources from both the Sloan and Applewood archives to see how individuals experienced and wrote about the strike from different viewpoints. Drop in anytime from 1–4 p.m.
**As part of the countywide America 250 celebration, you can pickup your Genesee County passbook at Applewood and get a stamp for attending Civic Matters.**
The enduring legacy of Charles Stewart and Ruth Mott is their extraordinary commitment to civic participation. With a new program topic each month, Civic Matters explores ways that anyone can engage in civic life.
Drop in to Civic Matters anytime from 1–4 p.m. on the third Friday of each month May through October. Admission and activities at Applewood are always free!
