Chavez & Huerta Luncheon 2026
he Latinx Center invites the community to celebrate National César Chávez Day on March 28, 2026 at the Flint Institute of Arts.
On behalf of the Latinx Technology & Community Center, we are honored to invite you to celebrate with us for the Cesar Chavez & Dolores Huerta Luncheon. This event is more than a celebration; it is a bridge between the historic struggles of the United Farm Workers and the deep-seated labor traditions of Flint. Our city’s history was built on the strength of organized labor and the belief that every worker deserves dignity and a fair wage. By honoring Chavez and Huerta, we recognize the universal fight for civil rights and the shared heritage of resilience that connects the fields of California to the shop floors of Michigan. Your attendance keeps these vital stories alive, ensuring that the lessons of the past continue to inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
Beyond honoring history, this luncheon serves as a prestigious platform to recognize the “unsung heroes” of our own backyard. We will be celebrating local community members who have embodied the spirit of ¡Sí, se puede! through tireless volunteerism and service to uplift Flint’s most vulnerable populations. Your support directly enables us to highlight these contributions and strengthens our ability to continue our advocacy and outreach work. We invite you to stand with us, demonstrating your commitment to equity, civil rights, and the vibrant community spirit that defines Flint. Together, we can celebrate the power of collective action and the individuals who make our city a better place to live and work.
