Business Validation Exchange
Need some validation for your business idea? The Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance Small Business Support Hub will host its first Business Validation Exchange on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Blackstone’s Smokehouse (531 S. Saginaw St.) in downtown Flint.
Designed for those just starting up or those who just want validation that they are moving in the right direction, this free event will connect participants with established local business owners who can offer practical insight, feedback, and a real-world perspective on what it takes to build and sustain a successful business. Throughout the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to share business concepts, validate ideas, ask questions, and build connections with experienced entrepreneurs from the Genesee County business community.
The event will also include an expert-led session by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs focused on how to properly register and structure a business. The session will provide foundational guidance for entrepreneurs preparing to formalize their operations, including considerations related to business entities and state filing requirements.
