Black Excellence Gala
Black Excellence Gala, an event honoring notable and phenomenal women of Flint, will take place Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at 6 p.m. at Saint Michael’s Church, 609 E. Fifth St. in Flint.
The evening will feature keynote speaker Dr. Tonya C. Bailey and will recognize community leaders including Mrs. Trachelle C. Young-Bowling, Esq., Minister Cecelia Rutherford, April Cook-Hawkins, Tracy Palmer, Evangelist Donna Poplar, Mary McGee Gray and Kathy Burton Brown. Minister Sandra Etherly-Johnson will serve as mistress of ceremony.
