Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway and All-Star Game
Flint Youth Runs will host its 2nd Annual Back-to-School Backpack & School Supplies Giveaway on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Dort Park in Flint.
The community event will provide free backpacks and school supplies while supplies last and will also feature an All-Star Basketball Game for incoming 6th through 8th grade students.
Families can also enjoy bounce houses, music, food, and other activities throughout the afternoon.
Organizers are currently accepting vendors, with a $20 setup fee that will go toward purchasing school supplies for local children. Community members and businesses are also encouraged to donate, with supporters receiving promotional recognition on event materials.
The annual event aims to help students prepare for the upcoming school year while bringing the Flint community together for a day of fun and fellowship.
