Buckham Gallery is pleased to announce the fifth exhibition of Season 42 featuring concurrent group show “The Foundation” a Flint X Detroit Artist Exchange and solo exhibition with DeMarcus Smith.

“Instead of proposing a solo show in my recognizable color palette, I wanted to fill Buckham Gallery with a bold assembly of some of Greater Flint and Metro Detroit’s most talented and diverse artists collaborating together for the first time. Many of these artists are multidisciplinary and highly involved in representing their home city. Collaboration and sharing ideas are vital for the growth of any city. The exhibition is a celebration of primary colors. The title, “The Foundation” alludes to these traditional colors which are the basis for all other hues, fundamental to color theory, human perception and have psychological impact. This meeting of the minds between artists from these neighboring regions sets the tone for future creative exchanges and developing a shared vision.” – Pauly M. Everett
