28th Annual Ensure the Legacy Banquet

November 19, 2025 @ 5:30 pm

The Arab American Heritage Council (AAHC) is excited to announce the 28th Annual Ensure the Legacy Banquet, a special event to celebrate the work of the organization and the achievements of our honorees. The year’s event will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northbank Center Grand Ballroom in Flint, MI.

For over 20 years, the Ensure the Legacy Banquet has recognized community leaders, awarded scholarships, and celebrated the impactful work of the AAHC. Each year, this event raises funds to support AAHC’s programs in immigration, education, advocacy, civic engagement, and the arts, and honors exceptional individuals in three categories: Physician of the Year, Community Contributor of the Year, and Arab American of the Year. This year’s honorees include:

  • ●  Physician of the Year: Dr. Alison Kinning, Vascular Surgeon at Michigan Vascular Center.
  • ●  Community Contributor of the Year: Todd Womack, Program Manager and Adjunct Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Michigan-Flint
  • ●  Arab American of the Year: Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, advocate, author, and public health leader.

Lucine Jarrah, Executive Director of the Arab American Heritage Council, shared her excitement about the event: “The Ensure the Legacy Banquet is a moment to reflect and celebrate how far we have come as an organization and to renew our shared commitment to the work ahead.
We are thrilled to honor individuals like Todd Womack, Dr. Alison Kinning, and Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, who reminds us all that when we come together, there is no stopping us.”

Individual tickets are available for $100 each. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, with packages that include tickets, program ads, and VIP seating. For more information about tickets, sponsorships, or to RSVP, please contact the AAHC at 810-235-2722 or email staff@aahcflint.org.
