SUMMARY:810 Munchies Free Community Dinner
DESCRIPTION:810 Munchies inside the Dort Mall is hosting another free community dinner on Saturday\, February 21st\, starting at 3 p.m.\, with free plates available until 6 p.m. or until food runs out. The dinner is open to everyone. Working families\, seniors\, individuals\, kids\, neighbors. No questions asked. If you show up\, you get a plate. People are also welcome to take plates home for family members or neighbors who could not make it.\n\n\nThis February dinner marks the fourth community dinner hosted by 810 Munchies since November. Owner Steve Brewer previously hosted free meals for Thanksgiving\, Christmas\, and again in January\, all following the same approach. No sign-ups. No paperwork. No explanations required.\n\n\nThe dinner is hosted by Steve Brewer\, owner of 810 Munchies\, along with chefs Jose and Chris and their waitstaff. The restaurant has built a reputation in Flint as a special needs-friendly space\, welcoming families who are often rushed or overlooked elsewhere\, and that same mindset carries into these community dinners.\n\n\nFebruary Community Dinner Menu\n Oven-roasted chicken\n Rice pilaf\n Candied carrots\n Collard greens\n Pasta salad\n\n\nBeyond the community dinners\, 810 Munchies has also made a name for itself by offering some of the lowest everyday food prices in the area. The restaurant is the first locally to offer a coney for $2 with no limits and an all-American hot dog for $1\, made with a Koegel hot dog and served with ketchup and mustard\, also with no limits. There are no restrictions on how many someone can order.\n\n\nSteve Brewer says it is important that people always have access to something affordable. Whether someone needs a full free meal at a community dinner or just wants to grab a few hot dogs or Coneys to take home for their family\, he believes no one should be priced out of eating.\n\n\n810 Munchies is located inside the Dort Mall at 3600 S Dort Hwy\, Suite 62\, in Flint. The goal\, Brewer says\, is simple. Feed people\, treat them with respect\, and make sure everyone feels welcome.\n\n\nWith four community dinners in just a few months and everyday low-cost options on the menu\, 810 Munchies continues to raise a question Flint keeps coming back to. Should more local restaurants be doing this\, or is 810 Munchies setting a standard others have not reached yet?\n\n\n\n	Related
