SUMMARY:Genesis ReTouched
DESCRIPTION:Genesis ReTouched offers a unique experience by recreating the look and feel of a late-80s to mid-2000s Genesis concert – when the band was at the height of their popularity. Genesis ReTouched plays the hits of Genesis’s best-selling albums\, including Duke\, Abacab\, Mama\, Invisible Touch\, and We Can’t Dance\, while also revisiting classic material. \nGenesis ReTouched is fronted by Adam Wheeler\, who tackles not just the voice of Phil Collins\, but his incredible drumming as well. On keyboards is Jim Questa\, capturing the sounds and textures of Tony Banks. Representing Mike Rutherford\, Matt Wiles anchors the low-end with bass\, bass pedals and guitar. Completing the lineup are Clark Connley and Devon Leigh\, stepping into the roles originally filled by Daryl Stuermer and Chester Thompson. \nRuntime: Approximately 90-120 minutes

SUMMARY:Observations Vol. 5 With Vivian Kao
DESCRIPTION:Buckham Fine Arts Project cordially invites you to the Observations\, Volume 5 featuring Vivian Kao\, release event celebrating the fifth Writer in Residence publication.\nJoin us Saturday\, March 7 at Buckham Gallery!\nThe event starts at 2PM with a welcome by Buckham’s Executive Director Michele Leclaire. The 2024-2025 Writer In Residence\, Vivian Kao\, will read selections from the book\, share her experience in the residency and take questions from the audience. Following the reading will be a meet and greet with the author with refreshments. Books will be available for purchase and guests are invited to have them signed.\nThe Buckham Fine Arts Project’s WIR program started as an outreach project in early 2021 to unite its visual art exhibitions with literary arts and Flint’s Black\, Indigenous\, People of Color community. The collaboration provides an opportunity for writers to engage with their interest in visual art and gain exposure for their literary work\, while engaging Flint’s marginalized communities in a meaningful way. Each residency cycle culminates with the compilation of the WIR’s compositions into a publication with exhibition images and public reading.\nBuckham’s 2024 – 2025 Writer In Residence project is sponsored in part by a generous donation by the Mary Elizabeth Adams Manley Beautification Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.\nWe are so grateful for the individuals who donated\, helping us to produce this fifth physical Writer In Residence publication. Thank you!\nBuckham Gallery’s 42nd Season is sponsored in part by the Stella & Frederick Loeb Charitable Trust administered by Huntington Bank.\nBuckham Fine Arts Project is supported in part by individual donations and awards from: the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation\, the Community Foundation of Greater Flint\, and the Greater Flint Arts Council Share Art Genesee Grant Program made possible by the Genesee County Arts Education and Cultural Enrichment Millage funds.
